Good bathing tips

Newborns can have a bath quite soon after they are born. Parents usually have the opportunity to get help with the baby's first bath while they are still in the Maternity ward.

When you start washing your little one, it is a good idea to introduce some fixed routines, so the child gets used to it more easily:

Choose, for example, a baby bath in a confined size, as this gives the child a sense of security.

Schedule bathing in connection with the child having some milk, for example before and after the bath.

Do not bathe the child if they are too tired.

The water in the baby bath should be approx. 37-38 degrees. Either use your elbow to feel whether the water is suitable. Otherwise, you can buy thermometers and baby baths with built-in thermometers from us.

Make sure the room is warm and that the towels and the baby's clothes are nice and warm for after the bath.

Do not use soap and oil before the umbilical stump has fallen off.
